Rentnow option with customised agreement in line with RRA? PDF copy of contract download option

Hi

I have initiated rentnow for a tenant, assuming tenant pays holding deposit and rentnow process begins which will allow me to customise the contract. Questions-

  • Does openrent contract is in line with new RRA i.e. Periodic Shorthold Tenancy?
  • Once customise contract is drafted, would the system allow LL to download a PDF copy so that tenants can sign hard copy when they pick up keys?
  • if i accept holding deposit and find tenant isn’t suitable during referencing process, is there an option on the platform to reject the tenant so that they get their holding deposit back?

Openrent would claim yes they have updated to be in line

You could but theyve already signed electronically so that is already on the pdf so there is no point in signing it again.

Yes. Accepting the holding deposit while you do the referencing takes off the market but they get holding deposit back automatically if you then reject
