I’m doing a renewal as one tenant wishes to leave and is being replaced by a new person. I need to reference the new tenant. When I reference them it asks for ‘monthly rent’. Do I put the whole rent for the property as the rent ammount (and the system works out its a 1/4 share) or do I just put the single persons share of the total rent? Its not very clear. Thanks
Their share of the rent
If they have a joint tenancy, you cant just replace one. You have to end the tenancy for everyone by deed of surrender and the create a whole new tenancy for the new group, with all paperwork. This includes refunding and retaking the deposit.
