Has anyone tried to use reposit for compensation after end of tenancy? I filled out all the forms, pictures, contract, evidence etc etc to get compensation (can claim 5 weeks rent max) for extensive property damage and unpaid rent. They came back to me with an offer from the tenants for £0 and wanted to know if I would accept this or make a final claim!! Seems to be a waste of time and I certainly won’t let future tenants use this scheme which is offered by openrent. I didn’t even realise that they had not taken out a conventional deposit scheme until too late!!!
You need to check , check, check all yourself Do not rely on any 3rd party It is ironic that on a website to help landlords ,we have complaints about openrent.

I don’t understand the post or your concern. What happens if you make a final claim for the amount you requested?
I have, of course, rejected the tenants offer of £0 and resubmitted my initial claim. I was really wondering if anyone else on the forum had experience with Reposit as I’m really not sure how it works if the tenants flatly refuse to pay?
