Rogue Landlord Poor Condition

We have just vacated a property that isn’t fit for purpose. Damp, rot, broken exterior doors, mould, dangerous stairs… we have got no where with the landlord yet he’s now advertising it on here. We have reached out to open rent to tell them but they’re not interested or responding. It’s a £1900 PCM property too. We want to avoid the next people getting stuck as the people before us reached out too to warn us. The landlord doesn’t reply to repairs and even the council told him he has to do repairs but he just ignores them. What can we do?

When people view the property they will see the issues.

you can only be glad you are not there any longer

The next tenant can contact a no-win-no-fee lawyer to sue the landlord or claim a rent repayment order.

Openrent are a platform for advertising. I’m not sure how they could police the quality of Landlords or properties.

It would be like blaming Rightmove because you bought a poor property, for sale on their platform.
