Does anyone have any advice on scale reducers that you fit to the main water pipe coming into the property. How do they compare in keeping limescale down compared to softeners? Are they any good?
Also there is an expensive product called Aquabion which some people rave about and others say s nonsense.
Advice please.
I have fitted them because new boilers mandate it
One to the mains supply and one to the boiler supply
Looking at the shower screen it’s a waste of money
Doesn’t look like anything works apart from viakal

I cannot remember the brand off the top of my head. It was a magnetic descaler.
I have fitted the electric one in my own home and that was also a waste of time
