Serviced acommodation

I have rented a 2 bedroom maisonette to a serviced accommodation company.
Guaranteed rent and £50 limit a month on anything that needs attention.
It has now come to my attention that some leases, management and BTL mortgages do not allow for this type of let. I told my concerns to the company, they replied, “On both counts you can rest assured that your mortgage and lease allow this to work. The reason being that you are leasing this to us on a contractual basis, then we have an agreement with our guests who stay in your property”.
Does this sound legit?

Read your lease and your mortgage t&c. If it says no business to be conducted from the property then you may have a problem

Their reasoning makes no sense as a universal get-out-of-contract terms.

Check any lease you are subject to, and mortgage documents, and check with your mortgage company.
