Short term let during covid 19

the current 6 mth extension to the notice period means that the minimum period before being able to regain possession is now 10 mths not 6
does anyone have experience of any other ways to secure the property after just 6 mths
for instance by writing into the tenancy agreement
i suspect that will be unlawful but comments please

The only legal way of bypassing the legislation that I’m aware of is to offer to pay the tenant to leave. You need to be careful how you do this as it can be construed as harassment.
