Is anyone using Freeagent for their first set of filed accounts?
Would love some help on setting up the property purchase as a capital asset.
Hi not sure if your query is solved yet but if not this may help:
Freeagent has a knowledgebase that explains how to do this either as an incorporated landlord ( your limited company is the landlord) or as an individual (you run your letting business in your own name). Just click support in the side bar in the freeagent app, then click on knowledgebase. Then in search box type something like ‘recording purchase of a property’. You will get something like this:

I went through Help in Freeagent in the end, after reading multiple Knowledge Base articles, I wasn’t sure which method suited my situation best, so I appreciate your help (in all of the forums that I posted in, you’re the only one to respond!).
