Tenant Believes they have paid the deposit twice

Coming to the end of the tenancy agreement and the tenants believes they have paid the deposit to OpenRent twice, once when taking up the original contract and again on renewal. On the history of the contract I can see that a deposit certificate was sent for the original contract but in the contract history it seems to indicate that they may be right as it now refers to the deposit again as being protected by mydeposits.

I can only find the one entry in mydeposits. Is this an OpenRent glitch when they changed deposit protector?

The deposit is considered re-protected when a tenancy is renewed, so the paperwork would record that anyway. Check with OR whether they have a record of it being paid twice.
