Hello Landlord Community, I am new here and wishing to ask whether it is advisable to consider tenants who do not have verified profiles? Perhaps it doesn’t make a difference but as I am new I’d appreciate any advice.
Thank you in advance!

I prefer my own verified gut feeling
Seeing as the entire application process is about verifying an applicant, whether they have a verified profile on OR seems negligible. I’ve never even looked to see if an applicant is “verified” on OR or not. References, bank statements, payslips, credit checks, meeting them, etc. - this is how I verify them.
To me it’s meaningless. It’s a money maker for openrent. Cost is £10
I agree with @tatemono and @Mark10 why would I care that a potential tenant has had ID checks and credit history done by OR already. They could be 5 years out of date so entirely meaningless
I’m going to need to get those things checked myself anyway as part of referencing (to satisfy insurance co).
If you decided you didn’t need to use any referencing service for credit referencing or ID (which I’d advise against as it’s a small cost compared with value of property you are entrusting to a tenant) then it could be useful I guess.
Good luck
Thank you I appreciate your thoughts and time taken to reply!
I tend to agree, so good to know!
Got it, thanks for clarifying!
Ok great yes all understood now, appreciate your reply!
