Why do some of the properties not show a picture of the room.
For me as a landlord, I didn’t have access to take photos until current tenant had left and they had been there many years. I personally don’t like imposing too much on tenants. Of course I visit for the necessary checks - but not to visit and take photos with their stuff in there.
However I knew the let would be available on a certain date so wanted to advertise asap.
I advertised with description and then added photos once the tenant had moved out.
As someone renting you wouldn’t sign a contract without viewing anyway.
I had a huge amount of interest even without photos!
This process enabled me to line up viewings once the tenant had gone and then get the new tenants in within a few weeks (enough time to redecorate and fix).
I am sure there some ads for dodgy places and some landlords don’t add photos for other not-so genuine reasons.
Because my homeowners room is not well decorated and there are many issues which I don’t want to show in front but no want to show in the photo only.
