HMO is defined as dwelling with 3 or more people belonging to 2 separate households. It is also stated that people from same family are not considered living in a HMO. Based on this I was wanting to know whether renting a 3 bedroom property to three bothers considered as HMO? They have confirmed in writing that they are of same family and are three brothers.
