I am new to OpenRent and am just about to advertise a flat for rent. I am thinking that before setting up visits from prospective tenants I should obtain some basic info from them. Eg Name(s); occupations; annual income, current address and phone number. Do other landlords do the same?
I think most do, as there’s no point wasting time doing viewings with people who don’t meet basic criteria.
I use Google Forms - you can set up all your questions there, and send them a link to fill it in. You can also set it to notify you whenever a response has been added.

You can also set up an auto response to future tenants asking some basic question, I find it helps to filter out the unsuitable for the property.
