I’m currently having the bathroom replaced in my rental property. Tenant is away but obviously aware.
I’m hoping to pop in to see how it’s going. Would you inform tenant of this? It seems obvious to me that I would do this -and probably more than once. I had to open up for the plumber in the first place.
Appreciate all thoughts. Thanks.
I would ask the tenant if it is ok for you to pop in giving them an example of how often…so ‘every day’ or ‘when necessary’ just to be polite and it also shows that you respect that it is their home while they are paying the rent. It also shows you are a good landlord as you are checking the workman and progress of the job and making sure the house is ok.

Agree with @Alan_June
Tenants might have someone else popping in either actually flatsitting or just to water plants. Good to avoid any surprises on either side when entering someone 's home.
