Is it legal for OpenRent to cancel your tenancy and forfeit your deposit without your consent?
Surely openrent only do what the landlord tells them to do?
The email they sent us states we cancelled and have forfeited the deposit, but we did not cancel.
The request was from the landlord not us, but OpenRent have cancelled from us and given the deposit to the landlord and want us to chase this with the landlord to return our deposit.
I am sure they will respond during office hours
