Change of locks

Hi all please help, my section 21 notice ended 24/2, I actually left the property and husband stayed due to amicable relationship breakdown.Constant harrassment from LL to give keys back, explained situation still demanding possession. LL visited my home shouting, I closed door to which he threw it back open and blocked it with his foot, he threatened my son and husband and hurled abuse at us.
Husband arranged to meet him at property to discuss situation 24/3, unaware to hubbie he took key out of door and left. Hubbie was in the process of packing car with some of my belongings to bring to me. He noticed keys missing so closed the door with intentions of returning. On return LL had changed lock and locked door and left. Lots of belongings and furniture still in situ in the house.
Constant messages received from him regarding collection of our " s**t", threats of court and bailiff action and disposal. Explained to him following his confrontational previous visit we are really anxious to visit whilst he was present.
Whats app received beginning April saying he had given ?? hubbie 4 weeks notice from when he moved out (24/3) which was when he changed the locks giving 4 weeks notice to collect, if not collected 21/4 he would dispose. Whats app not received due to complete loss of wifi access on phone.
Not seen until 29/4, sent message asking about our possessions to which he said he had thrown everything except a chest of drawers, a bike under the stairs and a single bed.
Message sent to him 5/5 asking to collect said items x 4, replied 5 days later saying everything had gone, including the old rusty bike under the stairs, which was my sons £500 2 year old most definately not rusty bike and the drawers full of pics of my children, our late parents, wedding album, passports and driving licences.
I am absolutely heartbroken at his actions and desperate for help as I feel with keys not voluntarily being handed back to him that possession had not been given to him and ? illegally changing the locks.

Text sent 29/4

sounds to me like an illegal eviction but I’d advise you speak to a solicitor who deals with the private rental sector. Citizens advice will be able to help you find one. Shelter website/helpline is also worth a try.

As above, this is clear harassment and likely illegal eviction. You will need legal help to take it further, but it would be in your interest, (and everyone else’s) to do so.
