Contract amendments - help

Landlord has made some changes to the contract that I’m about to sign

If I don’t agree with them will I lose my holding deposit?

Are the changes different to what had been previously agreed?

What are the terms you don’t like?

They are wanting me to pay all utility bills upfront

If LL has changed the terms then you are entitled to deposit back, provided you disclosed your position accurately at application/before landlords offer, and the change is not as a result of new information about yourself which differs.

Thanks Mark much appreciated

I’d suggest that if this wasn’t declared by the Landlord in the advert, then you’d have good cause to want your holding deposit back. I don’t know how this would be settled though if the Landlord disagrees.

All sorted and deposit back - thanks
