I have a tenant who failed to clear credit checks. He had not added his wife as a tenant. Assuming that this would have impacted his credit checks? Also is it possible to have more than one gaurantor (one for each tenant?)
May be me but am a tad confused by the wording of this post you say “had not added his wife as a tenant” which implies he now hasif that is the case then where you say “assuming this would have impacted his credit checks?” You surely would know if it has or not? If he hasnt added her and your curious as to why ask him although it does sound somewhat suspicious (maybe the marriage is “on the rocks” and he wants the house in his name (question is also what other information is he with holding and how much trust and honesty is their gojng to be if you decided to let to him

Are you that desperate to let thar you need to go with someone so complicated
Surely there are that many people looking for properties you can find an applicant who hasnt with held information and dosent need a guarantor- just my opinion
