Hi I am raising my rent and removing a second tenant at the same time. Can I leave the deposit or will it transfer over etc ? Thanks the main tenant and guarantor is staying the same thanks in advance
If one tenant is leaving a joint tenancy and you are happy with this, you should do a full checkout inspection, end the existing tenancy with a deed of surrender, refund the balance of the deposit and start again with a brand new tenancy for the one who is staying.
