DSS housing benefit

Hey there
I’m 27 male and having some real trouble getting a guarantor is this always a requirement?
I can not get one for the life of me
I know the stigma behind housing benefit
But unfortunately it’s all I can do
I’m a decent guy just want a home for me and somewhere my son can visit on the weekends
I’d love to be back home in Harwich somewhere

I’m having to leave my current area due to a break up with child’s mother

Very few landlords take DSS without guarantor. It’s too much of a risk

There’s an organisation called Housing Hands (think that’s the name) who will act as guarantors but quite expensive from what I understand.
