I am currently in the process of completing employer references for both myself and my partner and although my partner has completed his employer reference through the link Openrent send in an email my organization has firewalls in place to protect the company from external emails coming in.
This makes it impossible to complete the employer reference form through the link, I emailed Openrent multiple times and all I got back was to change the reference, but this doesn’t solve the issue as it’s all from the same company?! Very frustrating.
Is there another way Openrent can accept employer references without proceeding through the link? I am able to supply payslips, bank statements etc if it’ll makes this process much easier.
In this situation, as a LL, I’d take the initiative to contact your HR dept about this and deal directly with them to get your reference. Have you contacted the landlord directly about this to let them know the issue and make that suggestion? You could pass on HR’s email/number via the OR messaging system.
I have advised the LL but they are away and not back for another week, they advised to speak with OR for now but feel if we see no movement then I will notify them and see what they require from my HR to accept the employer reference, my HR has emailed OpenRent yesterday so we shall see what they say, if they do not accept not offer support I shall advise the landlord and see how next to proceed.
