Example GPDR document

Dear All,
I will ask copies ot tenants documents from estate agency. No tenants yet so I will ask them to make clear that Tenants documents can be shared with me. Does anyone have a template GPDR policy for landlords please?
Thanks

You cannot just issue a privacy notice on your own. You have to register with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO). You will have to then go on their website and read some information to get an understanding of the principles of gdpr and all the different ways personal info is collected and processed and best practice to avoid possible data breaches. Then you will be required to perform a Data Audit on your own business listing all the different types of personal info you collect and how you store and secure that data etc etc. You then pay a fee £40.00 p.a. and you will then be issued with a certificate.

Thank you for detailed reply.

I went to register but apparently they release your name and address to public register! I will call them before registering as they offer to hide domestic address but it is a bit inconvenient that they do not allow this when registering! You can download a whole list in a blink of an eye and have addresses of everyone who registered. I have seen quite a few neighbours there due to their profession.

" * The name and address of the controller, but not details about individuals nominated as contact points for us. (If you use a domestic address in the course of your business and you don’t want this to be included on the register of fee payers, please call our helpline on …)"

Update: I just registered on the phone. In this way they put address withheld flag straightaway.
