Dear all. My name is Hamidu. I have been trying to find a studio flat, I saw a couple a studio flats, I sent messages but I found it difficult to arrange viewing. Please advise. Thanks
Demand for properties is high. The Landlord may be receiving Dozens of enquiries, so you may not have hit their shortlist.
Sell yourself in any enquiry. Tell them why you are interested & tell them about your job stability, income, who will live in the property, tell them you don’t have pets (assuming you don’t as that will make finding a property even harder) etc… etc
Keep trying, good luck.
When we were searching for a property I drew up a document i called “about us” it detailed each applicant their previous address (civering last 3 years) work status (current employer length of employment previous if necessary wages hours etc) any adverse credit that either applicant had and what steps were being taken to resolve the issue I covered income and expenditure also and then at the end did a bit about us where i detailed names d.o.b personal circumstances why we wanted to move to a new property
And civered things that landlords ask like
Wether you have pets etc
I also supplied the name of 2 people who could be persoanl references as well as employers names and contact details and provided bank statements
I found that this answered a lot of the landlords questions.and cincerns before hand and he said it assisted him in offering us aviewing which led to us moving in
Just a thought it may help
