I’m currently in the process of looking for a guarantor but due to current circumstances its proving to be very hard.
Does openrent accept anyone who is retired but is still receiving private and state pension?
If a potential guarantor has been bankrupt in the past would this prevent them from being a guarantor even if they now have a stable income?

Hi Pascal,
OpenRent doesn’t accept or reject tenants — it’s always up to the landlord to decide.
The same is true of guarantors — it is up to the landlord to decide who they are happy to have as a guarantor. Most landlords will perform tenant referencing, and depending on what referencing company is used, going through a bankrupcy in the past may cause the guarantor to fail referencing.
