Hi how can I amend payment on OpenRent so that it is paid directly into our bank account? Previously it was always done this way however a recent tenancy is set up to pay through OpenRent - not sure what I have done wrong
@Helen88 1st month and security deposit always paid through OR if you used them to create tenancy agreement with ‘rent now’. It’s how they protect tenants from rogue LLs who dont handover keys on day1 and because they deal with deposit protection
As part of ‘Rent Now’ OR will keep collecting the monthly rent and forwarding to you for 10 quid a month IF you chose the OR rent collection service. You can turn this off and give tenants your bank details to pay direct under the 'manage tenancy ’ page.
However just give the tenants your bank details and contact OR support to make sure no further rent collection by them - they can tell you if rent collection enabled or not and how to turn off
