stick it in an autoresponse so that they call you as soon as they get the message after applying for the property

You don’t need to speak to them. You can exchange messages through the Openrent messaging system, agree a viewing date and time. And then the appointment system through the portal will make sure they get a text reminder. If you want the tenants contact details, then there is the option to request that on the messaging portal.
always good to have a phone number prior to viewings. I ask them to call me half hour before to comfirm that they are attending. If no call, I don’t go. Saves me time. If they’ve forgotten, we can always reschedule and it shows they’re not sticklers for admin. If they don’t call and don’t get in touch, nuffsed. Move on.
