How long on average does it take for a 3 bedroom property to be rented out

My 3 bedroom house has been on the market for almost 2 months. How long on average should it take for a house to be rented out. The property is in East London. 18mins walk from an underground station. The house is in average condition and bathroom is a little bit dated.

Where are you advertising? Is the listing on Right Move?
Is the rent compariable to other properties in the same area?
How many enquires have you had?

Yes I had it on open rent for a month, received loads of enquires, had arranged loads of viewings. No interested person passed the affordability test.

The rent is below the average now as I reduced it. Now I have it advertised with a new agent. Hoping I will have more luck.

Openrent free version doesnt show on rightmove, you’ve used paid version?

  1. Are you advertising as wide as you can? right move is essential I agree with Mark.
  2. are you getting feedback ? is there something wrong with property? maybe you need to upgrade?
3 who is doing your viewings? does that need to change
  3. is there something antisocial happening? is there a smell of dope or cooking smells putting people off?
  4. you need to drop the price if you are doing the above. it should go in a month. in 2 months you could have dropped the price 15% and still break even. Just because you see props at high prices on right move doesn’t mean they actually get them.
