Are you using a UK based card? You can’t us a foreign card to pay via Openrent.

If yes, you might need to provide more details of the problem as "Need help paying the deposit’ doesn’t give us a lot of information to help you with.

Hi, i have the same issue. I am using master card debit card uk based and it will not let me pay my deposit. Comes up woth error “We can only accept uk based dwbit cards for payment”.

Are you definitely using a ‘debit’ card, instead of a ‘credit’ card?

It looks like you are using a pre-paid card, not a UK debit card:

Pre-paid cards, as you might be aware, are not protected by FSCS, can be used anonymously, and aren’t linked to a bank account. As you can imagine, this poses several issues when used as a holding deposit payment.

I’m afraid as the site instructs, you will need a UK Debit Card, linked to an actual bank account, to place a holding deposit.

Hi Daz, thank you for quick responce. At this moment i do not jave uk bank account apart from pre paid debit card. Is there any other way of making payment? Such as bank transfer or using someone elses bank accout to pay deposit please? Thank you
