I payed a deposit for a house on Monday 2nd Feb but due to my guarantor not working they said I can’t have the property so iv ask for my deposit back 5 days ago and im still waiting
Was this through open rent or not?
What reason did the landlord give as to why your guarantor didn’t work out?

Assuming you paid the holding deposit through openrent, when you log into your openrent account does it still show that the application is ongoing or does it show that you have been rejected? If you have been rejected the holding deposit should refund automatically within 10 days. It might take 10 days because refunds via credit/debit card take a bit longer than a bank payment.
I would expect though if the landlord had rejected your application you would’ve received an automated email from openrent telling you the refund was on its way.

You can reach out to our customer service team at the bottom of this page and we can offer some guidance on what you can do in this situation, and we can contact the landlord where necessary.
You should get your deposit back within 7 days (not sure if this is actual or working days)
Google ‘Holding deposit If the landlord will not rent to you’ and look at the page from Shelter which says
" The landlord or agent might keep your holding deposit if you:
- decide not to rent the property
- give wrong information or tell them something that is false
- do not pass a right to rent check
They cannot keep your money for any other reason".
Wait a couple more days then contact Shelter/Citizens Advice if the agent/LL being unco operative.
