Hi I would like to use the tenancy creation service where for £69 you give all the details to O.R. and they do the rest.. but already I am seeing issues with the website just not flowing and very confused having just paid £20 ??? Absolutely no idea why?? as I was expecting to pay £69 for this service. So do I get another bill later???
I have tenants I would like to put though the vetting process.
I have a listing that is old, so I updated it..
I made it go live! and then I paused it… boy that was hard work to navigate..
So now I have sent the link to the hope full new tenant …
So does this mean now once they are happy to rent the property ( which they are ) they pay a weeks rent to start the ball rolling.
Am I right to then expect Open Rent to start the vetting process with the couple? for this £69 Tenancy Creation service???
I still find it incredulous that all these years later the website is still this poor and no live chat to get feed back on.
Already I have tried to navigate the website and information I have read then contradicts it 'self as you go along..
Anyway this time I am happy for O.R. to do the paper work but I hope this goes smoothly I really do.. last chance saloon.. I think the issue is.. If your a land lord who uses this serivce say once every 3 months or so you know how to navigate it.. But when you come back say once every 2 years.. it’s not smooth.. It’s no easy and it is !!! hard work..
It sounds like you’ve pre-purchased Rent Now, our tenancy creation service. When you do this we add a Rent Now credit to your account. We offer some guidance on how to check and use credits on your account here.
Note that referencing is not included in Rent Now and will need to be purchased separately.
We offer lots of guidance on how to use Rent Now in our Help Centre.
*Rent Now is our professional grade tenancy creation service -
it encompasses referencing
, contract signing, money handling and deposit registration and brings it all online, into a streamlined and transparent process.*
now you can see why I think Open Rent website is POOR !! poorly informing the end user and hard work to navigate… So the process does NOT include Referencing even though your website states it does!
Ultimately I can only feed back what I am going though as a user. I find the site very hard work! I wouldn’t mind but it was hard work 2 and 3 years ago and it’s not got much better.. I can only speak as I find!
However you design a website, some will find it obvious, and some confusing. I’ve seen posts on here where people are confused, and I think it’s plainly obvious. All of our brains work differently.
In my opinion, OR isn’t perfect, but having got used to it, I find it really quite straight forward.
You’ve perfectly described my situation. I have dormant listings from years ago and whenever a tenant leaves (which is rarely) I simply go back, revive the listing and update the photos. I’ve found it extremely simple.
It did cross my mind that there are far more complex things to navigate than a website when being a LL. I assume you’ve never served a S21, for example?
