International student renting - confirmation with university?

Hi everyone, first time Openrenter here. I’ve got a good prospective tenant who has been accepted as a postgrad student at a uni. Apart from getting their acceptance letter, is there any way I can verify that status e.g. by contacting the university?

You get a reference from their tutor/supervisor in the same way you would with an employer.
