Issues with openrent gas engineer - help

Ordered gas cert from openrent

Poor communication from engineer

He’s now offered me the very last date before cert expires. I’ve told him this is the last date tenant can do before she a) goes away and b)before expiry.

His communication to me has been poor but he asks for immediate reply to his comments.

Gut feel not good he won’t let me down

Anyway if getting the job assigned to a different engineer ? Or cancelling altogether

find your own local gas engineer

We use a local gas engineer

Had one but he now wants £250 for a boiler service / gas safety cert and one hob.

Openrent £110 for all.

With rising interest rates etc I need to keep costs down as I’m making next to no money each month. I was in it long term for appreciation over the years but with all the new gov rules and regulations - I’m being squeezed and squeezed so actually thinking about selling up.

£250 is a rip off.

I pay £60 for gas boiler and hob. This is a “normal” price.
Boiler service extra £30.

£102.50 here in Glasgow for boiler service + gas safety for boiler & gas hob.

£250 is a joke - even British Gas would probably do it cheaper than that!
