Keeping in accordance with the Rent Smart Wales Act

Hi,

Are there any Welsh landlords that can help me?

I’m trying to stay in accordance with the new Rent Smart Wales Act that came into force 1 December 2022.

Do I have to issue a Written Statement from the .gov website or will renewing the contract through openrent do the same job and keep me in accordance with the act?

Any help would be appreciated, as only in the renting game to be able to keep our family home as I work a job that requires me to love in a house supplied by them - definitely not a professional but doing my best

If you and the tenant agree to sign a new compliant contract then I don’t believe you need to issue a Written Statement.
