I am new to the OpenRent. My property is live on OpenRent from last 72 hours and catching much interest. I have used agencies till date so my direct contact details (home address, phone number etc.) Is never visible or accessible to tenant.
How can I do the same with OpenRent when I draft contract with prospective tenant.
legally the tenancy agreement or info provided to tenants along with it has to have details where tenants can serve notices - as part of the Written_information_that_must_be_given_to_tenants-_landlord_guidance.pdf. When you create the tenancy agreement on OR you choose what to enter - could be just a name and address or a tel and email too I think
But anyway suppose there is an emergency [a leak or whatever], the tenants need to be able to contact you, dont they?
Otherwise if you use Openrent’s services for this ‘management plus’ Management Plus | OpenRent and their rent collection service Smart rent collection service to take care of hassle free rent payments for Landlords | OpenRent then OR will be their first point of contact and they pay through an OR bank account
Or, you can get a 2nd phone and use for business purposes [it’s an allowable expense for tax purposes] , ditto a second email, and perhaps use a mailbox for an address

No. You have to give an address where notices can be served. It can be a business address or agent address.

You must include:

2. A postal address in England or Wales where the tenant can send legal notices to you – for example, a notice to end the tenancy. This does not need to be the address of where you live, but it must be an address where you can receive post. This could include a business address. You do not have to provide your phone number or email address. You can choose to include these if you would like the tenant to be able to contact you by phone or email. This could be helpful if you would like them to report repairs to you via phone or email. You can also choose to include the contact details of a property manager or letting agent, if you have one, but you do not have to do this. You will need to ensure they agree that you can include their contact details.
