My sister and I successfully passed all referencing and credit checks and have placed the holding deposit for the property, which has been taken off the market. However, since completing the reference checks, the landlord has gone MIA and hasn’t progressed the application onto signing the tenancy agreement, or responding to messages on the open rent site (I don’t have their contact details).
Not really sure what to do now, as we have put money down and everyday that goes by is another I’ll be paying for in my current place, as I don’t want to give my months notice until I have the next property secured.
I can see your referencing has been completed and the reports have been sent to the landlord. We’ve asked them to make a decision on your application, and either proceed (by issuing the contract) or cancel the application.
