I wanted to leave the housing contract early. I haven’t moved in yet and the landlord said that I need to find a replacement and I have had contact with one of the tenants in the house and they had told me that the landlord has found a replacement and that replacement has already moved in. I emailed the landlord to confirm that I am released from the contract but they said I need to sign a release contract for me to fully be terminated from the contract. I asked them when they will give me this release contract to sign an it has been a week and they still haven’t not replied to me. It seems as if the landlord is still holding me to the contract even though a replacement has moved in already. Any advice on what I should do?
A week can fly by. I think sometimes we expect replies so quick nowadays.
Send the Landlord a chaser email. He may be busy sorting the Tenants he does have rather than the ones that he doesn’t have (ie you).
