Letting advice please

Hi, this will be our first time renting out a property, so we just wanted to ask for your advice. Would you recommend using a letting agent initially to ensure everything is handled correctly and that nothing important is overlooked?

yes… but even though you do, there’s no guarantee that the agent won’t do something wrong. You’d be best joining a landlord assocation and doing their training. This is the only real way to know that your agent is doing what they should. It’s not expensive and it’s tax deductable and could save you thousands. Right now, with the RRA about to become law, it would be unwise not to do this if you’re a first time LL.
