Mortgage Notification to Tenant

In the process of buying a property with a BTL mortgage
I’m aware that I need to notify the tenant that a mortgage exists
How is this done ie. does it form part of the AST or separate notification
What wording is needed to satisfy legalities and of course the mortgagee

Your lender will probably require you to have a clause in your tenancy agreement specifying that the property is mortgaged and may be recovered under ground 2 of section 8 of the Housing Act 1988. I wouldn’t try to draft this yourself if I were you. Just use a tenancy agreement that already has it, such as relevant the NRLA model.
