I must express my deep disappointment in the lack of attention and resolution to my ongoing support request. It is with great frustration that I bring to your attention the utter lack of responses from any of your agents
in the Main Team regarding my consistent and unresolved issue of not receiving any responses from landlords over the past year.
I initiated my support requests on 03/01/2024 (1:27pm) & 02/01/2024
clearly outlining the problem I have been facing - a complete absence of communication from landlords despite my efforts to engage with potential rental properties on your platform. Regrettably, it seems that my concerns have fallen on deaf ears, as I am yet
to receive any meaningful response or assistance from your Main Team.
Over the past 12 months, I have attempted to reach out multiple times through various channels, including emails & phone calls. However, each attempt has been met with silence and neglect, leaving me in a state of frustration and disbelief.
The lack of responsiveness not only reflects poorly on your customer service but also raises questions about the efficiency and reliability of Openrent as a platform. As a customer, I have the right to expect timely and effective assistance, especially when facing
Landlords are currently overrun with applicants per property. I appreciate that having no response is frustrating and rude as it only takes seconds.
Tenants behave exactly the same way, not that this is an excuse.
Openrent typically persistently nags landlords who don’t reply, once the applicant uses the report function. If they don’t reply then their property is removed.
If you arnt being invited to view then it’s because there are more favourable applicants are you are simply too late.
The issue isn’t for Openrent to resolve. There is a high demand for properties. It’s a landlord’s market at the moment and they can pick and choose applicants. As Mark says, Openrent can send reminders to landlords but if there are better applicants out there, then you may want to review what you as a tenant can offer to prospective landlords to stand out from the competition.
Openrent is the middle-man. They provide a great service to Landlords & Tenants alike.
The poor level of response you have received from your property enquiries is from Landlords. I believe when you view a property, it will show the statistics about how quickly the Landlord normally replies.
It’s a shame that there are Landlords who do not reply. I personally aim to reply to all enquiries, but if other Landlords do not, this is not Openrent’s fault.
Thats what I thought initially, but after it happening to every single listing I was enquiring about it seemed very odd. So I used another openrent account (not mines) and used my same message to the same listings and I got responses from almost all the landlords I enquired to. This means that there is some type of problem with my account.
In addition, openrent support have been absolutely useless, as I have been trying to contact them for the past year and I havent received any correspondence yet.
Lastly, I won’t deny, openrent does provide quite a good platform to use in general, but when you can’t be bothered to clearly help fix a problem in my account & ignore any correspondence sent, that is both unprofessional & bad service
Yes, it has been a landlords market since the beginning of last year, where some flats are being rented within 24hours of listing. Hence I had assumed that there is a problem on my end, however, as I have tried using another openrent account I had received responses straight away. However, those arent my accounts so I need it to be fixed. Meanwhile, no-one from the “landlord specialist” team is bothered to respond to none of help requests
The account that I was talking about was my friends account which worked perfectly well, however any account that I make in my name specifically does not work. This is the openrent team are not even bothered to respond to any emails which only shows their incompetance!
