New regulations - Bathroom lights

Hello,

I have had an EICR test recently and apparently, there are new regulations around bathroom lights. I have two bathroom lights in our rental property that are specifically for bathrooms.

What are the new regulations regarding?

I got an advisory on one of mine re the bathroom light. Still passed.

If it was up to code at the time it was done, it shouldn’t fail just because the regulations have changed.

I had to replace one. It’s around water resistance. I ordered a new one online for about £10 and replaced it myself

Under new regs bathroom lights need to be protected by an RCBO 6A. This can be done by swapping out the MCB for an appropriate RCBO in the consumer unit that protects your upstairs lights, did it last week and got my EICR
