A scammer copied my listing and advertised my property on Gumtree and on their website, the consequence of this was a huge amount of inquiries from people that would not pass affordability checks, this prompted Open Rent to take my listing off of Right Move and Zoopla due to the volume of inquiries that I had received. I contacted Open Rent to make them aware of what had happened but they still removed my ad. Does anyone know if Open Rent consider the need to protect their clients from these types of scams or do they have a process to adapt their guidelines for this type of event?
