You need only spend money required to return the property in a similar condition as it was when you moved in. You chose to move into the property with its weeds & all, and that is the obligation you have accepted to maintain in a similar condition.

Not a problem to maintain the weeds . I find i have no probem in growing them even in a drought
It will be in the contract that you signed so you will have to accept that, it is also a landlord insurance requirement
If it’s really a problem that a male is looking at the bedroom you should really have discussed this with the landlord before you moved in. They may be accommodating and ask a female to inspect the rooms. But as others have said, it’s part of a landlord’s responsibility to check the rooms. If the rooms had mould, or you had additional tenants living there, the responsibility for that actually falls on the landlord. That’s why they need to check everything is in order. After a few visits, they would get a feel for how you are looking after the property and the inspections may actually decrease. e.g. I now only visit once per year and my tenants take so much care of their homes.

You can decide to make it nice yourself, or not. It’s you that will benefit from it if you do. You viewed and accepted the property in the state it is in.
You don’t buy a red car then demand that the seller paints it blue.

You’re being very childish and quite foolish.. It’s your home, if you want nice garden go outside and do the work like any other normal person.

In Indo Asia they do not see the purpose of dealing with rental homes as they don’t consider it their own
Tenants in this country make a home a home (having said that my indigenous population don’t weed;
I go and deal with it )

I am assuming he doesn’t have a lawn but weeds between paving stones or cracked cement

My reply for those who telling me do gardening I am doing job five days a week 8 to 5 second the surface of lawn not even it’s need proper plan need soil and other materials

Tajdar, you could choose not to rent this property if this garden that isn’t really a garden is causing you so much trouble? Maybe you should keep searching?
