Hello. I’ve made a mistake on N119 form. But have been given a hearing date. My tenant has also had the correspondence.
Instead of putting a monthly figure on the form I put the whole 6 months rent due at each month.
How do I rectify this. I was supposed to put 1200 per month but I put 7500 per month?
Has anyone filled the form incorrectly and what is the procedure to rectify it. There is no option to amend the form on the PCOL portal and how do you upload the documents on it. Does someone get in touch for that?
Email the court with the corrected N5, N119 or payment history form, usually their email address starts with “enquiries” (check on Search Results - Find a Court or Tribunal - GOV.UK). You can never be sure they are monitoring documents being sent via the PCOL website, I heard sometimes documents are not being read via the website due to procedural issues so I suggest to email instead.
You can download the completed forms from the PCOL website by clicking the yellow ‘View Claim History’ button. You can edit the pdf forms online using any online pdf editor eg ‘sejda’ website.
No need to pay fees again, just make a note in the email that you already paid via PCOL
At the court hearing, they will ask for the payment history again, but signed and dated with the date of the hearing itself because they want the very latest arrears amount and any recent payments the tenant made. Also make you sure bring a photocopy of the tenancy agreement for their own records and proof of postage of the Section 8/21 notice which usually includes a completed N215 certificate of service form. And a copy of the Section 8/21 notice itself.
Sure, you can create a payment history table easily in Word. Make sure document also includes claim number and court name. Also best to write a ‘statement of truth’ before the signature similar to whats on the claim form.
