Precribed information

Hi All,

I have secured tenant’s deposit with DPS and now want to print out prescribed information.

It is asking me at the end of the form to write down about circumstances to retain a deposit.

Do I need to write all clauses from TA?

Not sure what to do?

Also where to details as to how it will be dealt with at the end of the tenancy.

Any readymade format available with filled in demo info?

Thanks

Keta

Just include the clause number. IE 5.4

DPS website will have details on what to do at end of tenancy.

Thanks @Mark10 - I called DPS twice and they are unable to help. They said they can’t advise on this. (Very strange)

@Keta

Dps say exactly what happens at end of tenancy. Just read their website

Here

(From Source: Deposit Protection Service Simply tenancy deposit protection

Click on the 3 horizontal lines on top right, select ‘agents and landlords’ and choose whichever page you are interested in)

Good luck

@Keta

Presumably you havent produced the ‘prescribed info’ and the form is asking for info on when claims might be made by you-

Yes it makes sense to include whatever your tenancy agreement says plus anything else which makes sensse, and it then gets included so that tenant can be told as part of the prescribed info? Ask DPS if that is what happens or if it is simply for their records.

Makes sense DPS wont advise in what circumstances you may choose to claim as that’s entirely up to you and the tenancy agreement. So they cant tell you what to put

Good luck

This is the form - clearly says to please insert the relevant clauses

As Mark says, you can insert “Clause x from the tenancy agreement”.
