Trying to understand rent pro rata as I am due to end my tenancy.
I currently pay £1500 per month, and will be leaving on 11th October. According to the website calculator, it should be £532.25 for the 11 days. However, open rent is asking me to pay £600. Please advise on what I am missing? Thanks
Normally I do £1500 x12 /365! X 11
Who served notice on whom? If it was you then your notice would normally only be valid if it expires at the end of a tenancy period so that there would be no need to pro-rata any rent.
