As the title says, I just applied for a rental property, was supposedly accepted, done all the reference checks for which I had to trouble my line manager to fill out a form. Then the landlord rejected me.
Now, if I find a new property through OpenRent do I need to go through the referencing again?

That’s exactly what LL propose to Open Rent - to offer credit check as a separate service and let TT upload/link to results on their profile before looking for a property. Then any inconvenience will be avoided for both parties.
You probably know that LL now pay for credit checks. You won’t believe how many TT change their minds and go fo another property AFTER LL paid the money for the checks.
