Referencing - Current address for temporary stays

Hi!

I have stayed at and apartment managed by an agent. However, I left that apartment since I was out of London for last 2months and now back staying at a friend for last 2 weeks.

When asked current address, which one should I be providing?

(1) Previous place where I stayed (also shows up on my bank, company docs)? OR
(2) the current (temporary) address of my friend?

The friends address i would have thought.
If you have left your previous address never to return then surely you need to notify the bank etc.
