Hi I’m new to here as a landlord I have created an add for my property and paid £40 I have a previous tennant who I’m keeping on but just wanted everything online so joined open rent how do I get the tennant to click on the property listing and go through tenancy creation? Thanks
Add the tenants details to the ‘tenants enquiry’ page manually, then invite to place holding deposit… this button is clear

If you are ending current tenancy you have to go through the normal process for that inc return deposit and for new TA you have to serve how to rent, epc etc

Hi yes I will end old tenancy but tennant didn’t pay any deposit for me to return they have been in property since 2011 I just want to do it online now that’s why I joined open rent shall I also get the security deposit of them this time around? Also how to rent guide do I need to send them that online or will open rent send them that information?
OR will send them the how to rent (or a link to it possibley) as well as a link to where they can see the epc etc (you have to upload to OR)
OR will collect the security deposit once you invite the tenant to ‘Rent Now’

It’s how openrent work. They pay the one week security deposit, you then don’t do referencing, and instead choose to proceed with the tenant. Once the contract has been signed, they will then ask them to pay the remainder of the one month rent less the security deposit already paid.
There are also alternatives to OR.
Other than the fact the document is signed online OR is really no different to what you are doing at moment. What exactly do you want to do ‘online” that you don’t or cant do at moment.
You could scan or photo current AST and email to the tenant
You can sign a new AST document online by using docusign. You can provide access to electronic versions of the EPC etc using one drive or just emailing copies to the tenant.
It’s not esp clear why you are going to all the effort of setting up new AST via OR rather than just taking electronic copies of what you have already
