I found a property on facebook. I messaged saying I was interest where they responded asking to contact on email. Sent a few emails back and fourth and seemed pretty legit until this message. In the message they say it was an inherited property and they now live in Madrid, Spain. Is this a scam or is this the usual way it works with OpenRent.

The property in question is not actually listed on here either.
Rubbish tis is all wrong in so many respects. Deposit is usually 5 weeks of rent. Pay first and if you do not go ahead you get money back ? clear scam
I am very close to St Albans this is definitely a scam apart from all the red flags Colin3 flagged. I very much doubt you would get a 4 bed house for £1500 pcm in St Albans this is below the local market rents.
Thought as much and too good to be true. Cheers
