Self employed tenancy check

Dear fellow landlords,

I have a tenant who is self employed for the last 5 years. How to do the check myself? I asked for the last three years accounts to proof his average income? Is that enough to secure the rent? What is the rent gurantee scheme. I have never used them before either via openrent or somewhere else. How does it work? If they do the check and accept my tenant, does it mean if tenant failed to pay, the scheme will cover my rent? How about tenancy failed to pay and refuse to leave, will the scheme cover the rent and sort out the eviction? Anyone has experience on this. Appreciate your advice on this.

Thanks,
Jessie

I am a landlord and S/E 3 years accounts is minimum. Then give the facts to any rent gurantee scheme . They will decide
